UN

POS has invited UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for the Ocean, H.E. Peter Thomson, to present the initiatives undertaken by the UN in the last decade and to share the information about the global development concerning ocean pollution, as well as showing what directives will be undertaken by the UN in the future. UN has been contributing substantially to help prevent plastic pollution in the oceans by trying to influence countries' governments to take measures against this problem. Entire implementation of the OACM SOS conservancy program in the governmental structure is a priority for OACM countries, together with creating a collaboration with UN SG's Special Envoy for the Ocean. By creating the collaboration between the OACM and UN, the extraction of plastic and other marine debris will reach high efficiency resulting in significant global changes. This will be done by using the OACM SOS conservancy program - a sustainable system that can be easily implemented in any country/ government. OACM and the UN share the same philosophy and goals related to sustainable development.
