Commitments that will be announced by current and new OACM members are oriented towards the creation and expansion of new White Flag CSMAs, plastic-free zones; to improvement and investment in their tourism industry development. These commitments are concrete and require direct interventions in improving the state of the oceans, lakes and rivers worldwide. Some of the current OACM member countries will declare and committ to the process of certification and clean up of the complete coastlines to ensure their global positioning as top environmental ocean destinations, together with their competitiveness in the global tourism market. This represents the OACM's highest achieved commitment reflecting countries' future investments in the tourism industry.
